Ehrlich Crest
"Tillers of the
soil"
The Ehrlich Crest Symbolizes Tillers of the
soil represented by the stalks of wheat. The Noblemen's coat of arms
and armour signifies strength and honor, Three Stars represents
three geographical areas, Germany, Russia and North America, the two
headed eagle was the German National
emblem, the Sunflower represents Kansas, where our ancestors
first settled in America, and the three toed goose foot was
Grandmother Ehrlich's seal. Many of our handed
down home made items by her have the goose foot seal
embrodried in the lower corner to give reference to the
Ehrlich Family Seal. Grandmother Shafer always put her
goosefoot seal on all items she handmade.
